Become a Guest on CoMP

Share What You Know. Help Someone Build What Comes Next.

CoMP—Conversations on Media Production—features experienced professionals who can provide practical knowledge, honest perspectives and useful guidance across the media arts and entertainment industries.

You do not need to know CoMP founders Adonis Tsilimparis or Darren E. Johnson personally to be considered as a guest. We welcome inquiries from qualified professionals with meaningful experience and a clear lesson to share.

Who We’re Looking For

We consider guests working in areas that include:

  • Film, television and video production
  • Music, sound and podcasting
  • Photography, design and visual arts
  • Writing, journalism and storytelling
  • Games, interactive and immersive media
  • Creative technology and artificial intelligence
  • Entertainment business, marketing and distribution
  • Career development and entrepreneurship within the media arts

Potential guests may include working artists, craftspeople, producers, executives, educators, entrepreneurs, technicians and other professionals with credible experience in their fields.

A large following or famous name is not required. We are primarily interested in what you know, how clearly you can communicate it and whether your experience can help our audience make better creative or professional decisions.

What Makes a Strong CoMP Webinar?

CoMP is an educational series. The strongest guest proposals are built around a specific lesson, process, question or industry challenge—not simply a general career conversation or promotional appearance.

Strong subjects might teach attendees:

  • How a professional process works
  • How to avoid a costly or common mistake
  • How a particular industry is changing
  • How to build or sustain a creative career
  • How to approach a specialized craft
  • How to navigate the business behind creative work
  • How to turn an idea into a finished, marketable project
  • How to make better creative, technical or financial decisions

We are happy to help selected guests develop their expertise into a focused and engaging webinar topic.

Please include:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your current professional title or area of expertise
  • A short biography
  • Your city and time zone
  • A current headshot
  • Your website, IMDb page, LinkedIn profile or other relevant professional links
  • One to three proposed webinar subjects

Please do not send large attachments unless requested. Links to your work are preferable.

What Happens After You Submit?

The CoMP team will review your professional background, proposed subject and potential educational value to our audience.

If we believe there may be a good fit, we will contact you to schedule an introductory conversation. During that conversation, we may discuss:

  • Your professional background
  • The proposed webinar subject
  • The audience the session would serve
  • Potential teaching points and questions
  • Scheduling and technical requirements
  • Projects or services you would like to promote
  • Guest compensation options, when applicable

Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee selection or an appearance on the series.

Can I Promote My Project or Business?

Yes—but education comes first.

We generally reserve time near the end of the webinar for guests to discuss a current project, company, service, release or event. The primary conversation, however, must provide genuine educational value rather than function solely as a sales presentation.

Is There a Fee to Be Considered?

No. CoMP does not charge prospective guests to submit an inquiry or be considered for an appearance.

Purchasing advertising, sponsorship or any other promotional service does not guarantee selection as a webinar guest.

Are All Guest Proposals Accepted?

No. CoMP reserves the right to select, decline, postpone or reconsider potential guests and subjects at its sole discretion.

Selection may be influenced by the proposed topic, professional experience, audience relevance, scheduling, programming needs and similarity to recently presented webinars. We are not obligated to provide individual feedback or an explanation when a proposal is not selected.

Before You Contact Us

Please review our recent and upcoming webinars to become familiar with the series. Consider the specific knowledge you can offer and the audience that would benefit most from it.

The best inquiry does not merely say, “I would love to be on your show.” It tells us what you can teach—and why the conversation matters now.
