Origin of CoMP
CoMP—Conversations on Media Production—began as a live seminar series in New York City’s West Village. Created by longtime collaborators Adonis Tsilimparis and Darren E. Johnson, the events brought accomplished professionals together with working and emerging creatives for candid conversations about the art and business of film, television, and music. Guests shared practical lessons drawn from their careers before taking questions directly from the audience. That live exchange became the heart of the CoMP experience.
In 2026, Adonis and Darren recognized that the same technology that had transformed the media industries could also bring CoMP’s original mission to a much wider audience. The series was relaunched as CoMP Webinars, using Zoom and Eventbrite to connect experienced professionals with creatives around the world—while preserving the element that mattered most: meaningful, live Q&A between guests and attendees.
Each conversation now begins as an interactive live event and continues as an educational resource. Highlights and excerpts are shared on YouTube, while complete recorded sessions are available on Patreon and Substack for on-demand viewing. The setting has evolved from a room in the West Village to a global digital stage, but the purpose remains the same: connecting experience, inspiring creativity, and helping people build sustainable careers in media.
About the Fouders
Adonis Tsiliparis
Adonis Tsilimparis is a composer, music supervisor, and sync-licensing executive with more than two decades of experience across film, television, advertising, and recorded music. His work includes music for series such as CSI: NY, NCIS: Los Angeles, Mayans M.C., and Guiding Light, as well as campaigns for brands including AT&T, Pepsi, Sprite, and Burger King. Currently Head of Sync Licensing at Gramoscope Music, Adonis has also represented music catalogs, developed licensing opportunities, and helped filmmakers and producers navigate the creative and business demands of music for visual media. As co-founder of CoMP Webinars and an industry mentor at Musicians Institute, he is committed to teaching emerging composers and artists how to strengthen their craft, understand sync licensing, build sustainable careers, and become more effective collaborators.
Darren E. Johnson
Darren E. Johnson is a film, television, and music business veteran with more than two decades of experience spanning production, creative development, music, digital media, and technology. His credits include work on major studio productions such as I Am Legend and Hitch, alongside extensive experience developing independent films, television series, music projects, and emerging intellectual property. As founder of Noise Gallery Media and co-founder of CoMP Webinars, Darren works as a creative and fiscal development consultant, helping creators turn ideas into viable projects through development strategy, budgeting, financing preparation, audience building, and marketing. A longtime recording artist and producer known as ANTTEX, he is equally committed to teaching and mentorship—connecting working professionals with emerging creatives and translating decades of practical industry experience into clear, actionable guidance.

Attend Live
The live webinar includes the complete featured conversation, educational presentation and audience Q&A. Live attendees have the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with our guest.
A limited number of ticket options are available:
- Community Access — Pay What You Can: A limited number of tickets are available until one week before the webinar, with a suggested contribution of $5.
- Early Access — $10: Discounted tickets are available until 24 hours before the webinar.
- General Admission — $20: General Admission is available throughout registration and becomes the only ticket option during the final 24 hours.

He provides a unique perspective on both sides of production as he’s been involved in all sides of the film industry since 2007, the highlight being a sketch performer for Conan O’Brien for 12 years. He’s also an executive producer on Reaper Road, a feature film debuting this fall. Kris prides himself on the relationships he’s created working with filmmakers by taking their projects from start to finish with the best music possible.
